Why do we need protein when exercising?

How Much Protein is Enough?
If you work on the ratio of 0.8 to 1.2 gm per kilo of bodyweight per day e.g. an 80 kg person would require between 64gms and 96 gms of protein per day.
Most of this can be consumed through your normal diet, however after intense exercise the quicker you can get your nutrition to work for you the better. Consuming a liquid protein shake within 20 minutes of your workout ending can start the rebuilding and repairing of the damaged muscle fibres.
