Sports Specific Strength & Conditioning

All sports have specific physical requirements so the preparation needs to be correct for the sport and specific to the participant and the role that he or she performs within the sport, for example:

  • Football, the physical requirements for a striker are completely different to the requirements for a mid-field player, so the training must reflect the roles that each player undertakes within the game.
  • Rugby, the physical requirements for a prop forward are completely different to those of a winger, so the training must reflect the roles that each player undertakes within the game.

Here in the Sportesse Performance Training Centre we have the knowledge and experience to work across all sports to develop the individual to allow he/she to improve. Starting with a detailed function movement screening and a sports specific testing routine to determine strengths and weaknesses, a detailed programme can be created.
